The best platinum dumbo ear guppy choices are male guppy groups with the distinctive oversized pectoral fins and coloration you want. The four-male platinum listing is best for shoppers seeking a specifically platinum-colored group, while the five-male dumbo ear listing suits buyers who prioritize group size and community-tank care information. One listed item is a dumbo ear betta, not a guppy, so it is included only as a fin-style alternative.
| Product | Best suited for | Key distinction |

| Dumbo Red Tail Guppy Pair | Buyers considering a pair | Red-tail dumbo-ear alternative |

Four Male Platinum Dumbo Ear Guppies
This listing is the most direct match for shoppers searching for platinum dumbo ear guppies. It offers four male guppies described as having bright platinum coloration and large, flowing pectoral fins. The seller also describes them as active community fish for planted or community aquariums.
Best for: Buyers who want a group of four males and prioritize the platinum color description. The listing provides specific care guidance: 72–80°F, pH 6.8–7.8, and moderate hardness. It also names quality flakes, micro pellets, and occasional frozen foods as feeding options.
Limitation: The listing specifies male fish, so avoid this option if you want a mixed-sex group or are specifically seeking breeding stock. Confirm that the aquarium’s water conditions suit the stated range.
Four Male Variegated Blue Dumbo Ear Guppies
This four-male group is described as variegated blue dumbo ear guppies, with large pectoral fins that resemble elephant ears. The listing emphasizes graceful movement, color, and suitability for community aquariums.
Best for: Buyers who prefer a blue or variegated appearance over a specifically described bright platinum color. The seller characterizes these fish as hardy and adaptable livebearers, making the group a relevant choice for shoppers looking for active freshwater community fish.
Limitation: The supplied product details do not state a temperature or pH range. Check the seller’s current care information and prepare a stable, appropriate freshwater aquarium before ordering.
Five Male Dumbo Ear Guppies
This listing offers five male dumbo ear guppies and is a useful alternative for buyers who want one more fish than the four-fish groups. Its care notes say livebearers generally do well in clean, well-filtered, oxygenated freshwater, with a stated general range of 72–80°F and pH 7.0–8.2.
Best for: Buyers prioritizing a five-male group and practical community-aquarium guidance. The seller recommends adequate swimming space, plants, and hiding areas, and describes these livebearers as active and generally peaceful.
Limitation: The listing covers several livebearer varieties and colors, so the supplied information does not confirm a platinum coloration. Choose it for the stated dumbo ear male group rather than as a guaranteed platinum-specific selection.
Dumbo Red Tail Guppy Pair
This listing is for a pair of dumbo red tail guppies. It is a related alternative for shoppers comparing guppy colors and group sizes, but the product details supplied do not describe the fish’s sex, care parameters, or exact fin characteristics beyond the dumbo-ear name.
Best for: Buyers interested in a red-tail guppy pair rather than a four- or five-male platinum group. It can help shoppers compare a different color direction within the dumbo ear guppy category.
Limitation: The listing does not identify the fish as platinum, and its feature information is limited. Confirm sex, shipping details, and care guidance before choosing it.
Dumbo Ear Betta Alternative
This product is a dumbo ear betta, not a guppy, and it is not described as platinum. It is included as a visual alternative for buyers drawn to oversized, flowing pectoral fins. The listing says the fish grows to 2.5–3 inches and recommends an aquarium of at least 2.5 gallons with low current and gentle filtration.
Best for: Shoppers comparing the dumbo-ear fin appearance in a different kind of fish. The listing describes a range of colors, including lavender, blue, white, black, and multicolor.
Limitation: Do not select this item if your goal is a guppy group or a platinum guppy. It is a betta with different care needs.
Buying Guide: How To Choose Platinum Dumbo Ear Guppies
Do you want platinum coloration or a related color?
For the clearest match to a platinum search, choose a listing that explicitly says “platinum,” such as the four-male platinum group. The variegated blue group and red-tail pair are related guppy options, but their supplied descriptions do not establish platinum coloring.
How many fish and what sex do you want?
Compare the stated quantities before ordering: the platinum options list four males, the broader dumbo ear listing offers five males, and the red-tail item is a pair with no sex details in the supplied features. If sex or breeding plans matter, verify the details with the seller.
Will your aquarium meet the care needs?
Use the listed temperature and pH ranges as starting points, not a substitute for stable water quality and appropriate filtration. The platinum listing specifies 72–80°F and pH 6.8–7.8; the five-male listing gives general livebearer guidance of 72–80°F and pH 7.0–8.2. Avoid sudden water changes that could destabilize conditions.
What should you check before ordering live fish?
Review current seller information for shipping, arrival procedures, and any care details not included in the product description. Prepare the aquarium before delivery, and allow time to acclimate new fish carefully. Do not assume that similar product names guarantee the same color, sex, or care requirements.
