Cat litter box liners with elastic help hold a disposable liner over the rim of a litter pan, making removal and cleanup more straightforward. The best choice depends on the pan’s dimensions and how much room you need. So Phresh is a simple option for a narrower pan; Alfapet offers medium-and-large, large-to-extra-giant, extra-giant, and super-jumbo sizes. Compare the listed measurements with your litter box before choosing.
| Product | Best For | Listed Size |

| Alfapet Extra Giant Liners | Oversized pans and scratchers | 37″ x 18″ |

So Phresh Elastic Cat Litter Box Liners
So Phresh liners are best for buyers who want a straightforward elastic-edge liner and a count of 40. The elastic top is designed to fit securely around the litter box, while the liner helps contain litter during cleanup. The listed dimensions are 36 inches long by 14 inches wide, which makes checking the pan’s measurements especially important before purchase.
Why it stands out: The design focuses on a secure elastic fit and easy litter-box cleanup without extra features to sort through. Choose this if those dimensions suit your pan. Limitation: The listed width is narrower than the Alfapet options, so it may not suit a wider pan.
Alfapet Large and Extra-Large Liners
This Alfapet option is best for owners of large, extra-large, giant, or extra-giant pans who want a flexible fit. Each liner measures 37 by 18 inches and is 1.5 mil thick. Its Sta-Put elastic band is designed to keep the liner in place, and the product description says removal can be done by lifting the liner and waste together. The listing describes a 20-count product and a pack of two.
Why it stands out: The multi-size fit can suit buyers who are unsure which of several larger pan categories they have, provided the measurements work. Limitation: At 1.5 mil, it is not the thicker 2-mil option in this roundup. Compare the listed size with the pan rather than relying on the size label alone.
Alfapet Extra Giant Tear-Resistant Liners
These liners are best for XL, giant, and extra-giant pans when a claw-resistant design is a priority. They measure 37 by 18 inches, are 1.5 mil thick, and have a stated capacity of 20 pounds. Alfapet describes the liners as tear-resistant and says the Sta-Put elastic is designed to fit round, square, and other pan shapes.
Why it stands out: The combination of an extra-giant fit, elastic edging, and claw-resistance claims makes it a better match for cats that scratch while covering litter. Limitation: The stated capacity is 20 pounds, so consider that specification when planning how much litter and waste the liner will hold.
Alfapet Medium and Large Elastic Liners
For medium-to-large litter pans, this Alfapet option measures 31 by 17 inches and is 1.5 mil thick. Its Sta-Put elastic band is intended to secure the liner around the pan, and the disposable design is meant to simplify waste removal. The listing includes 24 liners.
Why it stands out: Its shorter length compared with the brand’s 37-inch liners can make it the more relevant size for a medium or large pan. Choose it if your pan measurements match. Limitation: It may not provide enough coverage for giant or extra-giant pans.
Alfapet Super Jumbo Heavy-Duty Liners
These are best for X-giant, jumbo, or super-jumbo pans, including setups where a larger capacity is useful. The liners measure 42 by 20 inches and are 2 mil thick, with a stated 30-pound capacity. Alfapet describes them as heavy-duty and claw-resistant, and the elastic Sta-Put design is intended to keep them from slipping off.
Why it stands out: It has the largest listed dimensions and highest stated capacity among these options. Limitation: Its extra-large size may be unnecessary for a smaller pan; confirm the fit before buying.
Buying Guide: How to Choose Elastic Litter Box Liners
Which liner size should you choose?
Measure the pan across its length and width, including the rim area the liner needs to cover. Compare those measurements with the product’s listed dimensions. A liner that is too small may not reach around the rim; an oversized liner may leave excess material. Elastic can help secure a liner, but it does not replace checking the dimensions.
Does liner thickness matter?
Thickness can help you compare products, but it is not the only factor. The Alfapet options listed here range from 1.5 mil to 2 mil. The Super Jumbo liner is the 2-mil choice and lists a 30-pound capacity; the Extra Giant liner lists a 20-pound capacity. Capacity and thickness are product specifications, not a guarantee against every tear or leak.
Is elastic better than a drawstring?
These products use elastic to hold the liner around the pan. Alfapet describes its Sta-Put design as a way to reduce slipping, and its product descriptions emphasize an elastic band rather than a string closure. Choose a style based on how it fits your pan and how you prefer to remove and dispose of waste.
What should multi-cat households consider?
Start with the size of the pan, then consider the liner’s stated capacity and thickness. The Super Jumbo option lists a 30-pound capacity and is described as suitable for larger or multiple-pet use. Follow the product dimensions and capacity rather than assuming every large liner is interchangeable.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do elastic litter box liners stay in place?
An elastic edge stretches around the litter pan’s rim. Some products, including Alfapet liners, describe this feature as Sta-Put technology intended to reduce slipping.
Can one liner fit different litter box shapes?
Some elastic liners are described as fitting multiple shapes. Alfapet says its Extra Giant liner can fit round, square, or other pan shapes, but dimensions still determine whether it will cover a specific box.
Which option is largest?
The Alfapet Super Jumbo liner has the largest listed dimensions in this selection: 42 by 20 inches.
Which liner is designed for medium pans?
The Alfapet Medium and Large liner measures 31 by 17 inches and is listed for medium and large pans.
Should I use a liner if my cat scratches it?
Compare products that specifically describe claw-resistant or tear-resistant construction, such as Alfapet’s Extra Giant and Super Jumbo options. No liner description guarantees that it will resist every cat’s claws.
